Facial mesotherapy is popularly known as vitamin injections and is a very popular aesthetic medicine technique for delaying skin aging. Facial vitamins, being a simple and minimally invasive technique, allow normal daily activities after the session.

It is performed through microinjections at various points on the face to a depth of approximately 4 mm to reactivate the biological metabolism of fibroblasts, helping the skin regain much of its freshness.

The injections deliver various substances (vitamins, trace elements, antioxidants, amino acids, organic silicon, hyaluronic acid…) It is a perfect treatment for dull skin caused by factors such as stress, fatigue, or prolonged sun exposure, depending on the composition of the vitamin cocktail injected.

Vitamin injections are a fairly common treatment from the age of 40, when it is normal to notice the first wrinkles, spots, and lack of brightness; although it can be started earlier as it is a treatment that prevents aging and improves skin hydration. According to experts, around 25-30 years old is the time to start preventing skin aging, but treatments are increasingly less associated with age and more with the condition of the skin. So, it’s best to be advised by a specialist.

Experts recommend three sessions every 15 days or once a month, at most, and from then on, maintenance of one session every 6 months. However, the protocol should be adapted to each patient, depending on the condition and needs of their skin.

Facial revitalization with vitamins may cause local inflammation or bruising. Local inflammation with skin redness is generally mild and transient, lasting only a couple of hours and without leaving lasting effects. Bruising is less frequent and disappears over the days.

Facial mesotherapy is not recommended for pregnant women, those who are breastfeeding, or those hypersensitive to any of the components used.
